Looks: Misoryu is six feet even, and he is of average weight, he does not look muscular unless he is in a fight, then he looks like he is ripped. He has curly shoulder lengthed brown hair that frequently gets in his eyes, and his eyes are hazel. His face is rather attractive. He has a 6 inch long scar along the left side of his jawline. He has a dragon necklace with small sapphires for the eyes, when he gets mad and releases a lot of spiritual pressure the eyes on the dragon necklace glow a bright red. This necklace was a necklace he used to wear when he was alive in the real world. He found it on a mission and liked it so he kept it. The necklace allows him to remember things from his past life as a normal human. His robes are cut off at the sleeves and he has a brown leather sheath that is rarely visible. He often wears sunglasses, and is fequently listening to an mp3 player. He wears dress shoes instead of regular shinigami shoes, and black gloves that are cut off halfway down his fingers. He also wears a black elbowguard on his right arm. He also will occasionally wear a black headband on his days off. He also has a little indent scar on his right cheek. Unlike other captains, he wears his captain's robe on missions and during missions only, thus he can often follow troublemakers from other divisions without them realizing who he is.
Personality: Misoryu is a goon, he is random, and he enjoys playing pranks on people. At times he likes sake.....alot. However, when it comes to duty he is always ready, he doesn't mind paperwork and he is really intelligent, when he wants to be. He always tries to keep his promises, and if he breaks one he won't forgive himself for quite a while. His subordinates respect him due to his fun-loving nature and the ability to get serious when he needs to be. He dislikes people who are stiff and he will slack off until he is directly ordered to do something. He defends weaker people and will always stand up for justice, or at least what he sees as justice, meaning that if he thinks something is wrong he will fix it to the best of his capabilities. He enjoys constantly harassing Mayuri Kurotsuchi, and he enjoys hanging out around squad 11 so he can get in spars. When I had said that he likes playing jokes on people I am referreng to foaming gum, whoopie cushions, and helium voices. (as in having people breath in helium and have squeky voices) He enjoys studying history, and hates people who disrepspect him or his division. Another group of practical jokes involve him harrassing humans that can't see him, like stealing their hats and running off with them. As a captain, he takes his responsibilites extremely seriously, and if he catches one of his division members doing something that they are not supposed to do, he will get after them, and there will probably be consequences.

Released Zanpakuto Description: In this form it appears as just the green clothed handle with no blade. Its ability is that it can take the form of anyone elses shikai (not the abilities, and only the blade, so no Toshiro dragon thingy, or flaming swords etc.) that he has seen, which is why Misoryu enjoys sparring and watching battles. He can only use one form per topic (he can't hop back and forth.) The massive downside to this is that he can be clumsy with wielding it (like Ikkaku's for example, he would probably end up stabbing himself with it).

Bankai Description: Bankai is completely different from release. In Bankai form the blade turns into a completely red 47" long scimitar. The ability is that his strength and speed triples, and he can shoot black lightning bolts at his opponents at the cost of 20 sp each. These blasts are rather strong, but they are used mainly as a distraction. The downside of this is that when he goes out of bankai his body is exhausted and he must rest afterwards or he will start having random injuries, because this also makes his metabolism go faster and will pull a choji after a couple of hours.

History: Misoryu was born in Coastal Maine. He lived a normal life until he received an odd dragon necklace with small saphirre eyes from his grandmother. Ever since he received it he could see hollows. He was the number one ranked student in his school and he was quickly accepted into a good college. He got his History teaching degree one year early. He started teaching history at his old high school, and was later hired as a college professor at his old college. He was later killed by a hollow when he was protecting a little kid from a hollow. The kid did survive. When he came to the Rukongai he was quickly recognized for his strong spiritual pressure, and his intelligence. When he entered the Shinigami Academy he was one of the quickest to graduate from it, he was good at everything he did, and he was/is well rounded. He had a great record of completing his missions successfully, and quickly was asked to be a teacher at the Shinigami Academy. He accepted the job and became very well liked by his students. One day he was sent with 5 students to the real world to take out some hollows as a final exam. In the middle of it he saw something shining on the ground, it was his necklace. He picked it up and as soon as he did, he had a flashback of his past. Due to this he kept it, and later started regularly wearing it. The exam ended fine. After a couple of years teaching he was recommended to become a vice-captain. This led to him being promoted as the vice-captain of the 8th division. As vice-captain of the 8th division Misoryu has become well liked by people in his squad as he was a teacher to many of them back in the academy. He proved himself as dependable, and frequently has filled out paperwork for other members in the division. He will frequently give people good recommendations, and has enjoyed sparring with other members from his division or other divisions. He has in the past had a bad tendency of bugging the 12th division captain, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, because of his knowledge in technology. When he returns from dangerous missions he frequently gets drunk. He has also gotten married to a black haired women named Mary, who is a stay at home wife, who has a bad temper and little to no tolerence of alcohol. Recently he has made frequent trips to the Living World and has relayed messages back and forth between the Living World and Soul Society. He has been in Soul Society for 18 years. He was then promoted again due to the lack of captains and his ability to use bankai. His division members don't like him as much now because he is a little bit more uptight and goes by the book a bit more.
RP Sample: Misoryu was walking through an alley in the 11th division bringing a message from Head Captain Yama to Captain Zaraki. He kept his hand on the handle of his zanpakuto always being prepared for a random assault by one of the battle thirsty members of the 11th division, as are known to randomly spar with total strangers. As he came around a corner he saw Ikkaku, he sighs and rubs his eyes.
Ikkaku whipped around quickly and saw Misoryu. "today must be my lucky day!" he said loudly, "I'll give you time to prepare", he said as he started doing his lucky dance.
Misoryu stares in dibelief, "wow!, and this is a pretty unlucky day for me" Misoryu said drawing his zanpakuto slowly with a tired expression, still not believing Ikkaku's lucky dance.
Ikkaku stopped dancing and looked over at Misoryu. "you look ready, Let's fight!!!" he said hapilly as he charged at Misoryu with his zanpakuto in one hand and his sheath in his other being held as a weapon also.
Misoryu blocked both sheath and sword with his zanpakuto horizantally, he pushed them off and in Ikkaku's moment of clumsiness slashed at his chest.
Ikkaku hopped back a couple of hops and started getting healing ointment out. in this moment Misoryu slashed at his chest causing a huge gash. As Ikkaku fell down Misoryu walked past, "don't worry I'll tell someone in your squad about you, and I'm sure that they'll get someone to heal you, after all, you were stupid enough to randomly assault a captain" said Misoryu completely oblivious to the 11th divisions motto. Ikkaku gets up and swears at him he reaches for his zanpakuto, but misoryu shunpos in front of him and grabs his hand, "drop it, o.k., you know what Captain Zaraki's motto is,"if you're lucky enough to live then get stronger and show me the error of not killing you" Ikkaku soon thereafter collapses from blood loss. Misoryu starts walking towards the 11th division barracks. He quickly spots Ikkaku's friend, Yumichaka, and whispers what happened to Ikkaku into his ears. Yumichaka gets a startled expression and then runs off to get his best friend assisstance. Misoryu sighs and then leaves towards Kenpachi's office only to find that he had ran off somewhere, he sees a random 11th division member, "Here, get this to Captain Zaraki, when he gets back", Misoryu then heads back to the 8th division bar to get drunk.
